    Incase Icon Sleeve

    Pros:

    • Shock-absorbent bumper
    • Tight magnetic closure
    • Thin and lightweight
    Cons:

    • No extra pockets
    • Limited color options
    • High price tag

Incase’s Icon Sleeveexemplifies why they are one of the most well-known names in the sleeve and case industry. One of our editors had the opportunity to try out this case and see what makes it one of the best MacBook Pro sleeves.

This sleeve’s edges are made to look like a bumper-style iPhone case. The bumper on this case adds to your peace of mind by providing additional protection. The case’s interior is lined with a soft, furry material that protects your MacBook. The case is made of neoprene and Tensaerlite, two shock-absorbing materials. The only way to get your MacBook in and out of the sleeve is through a small magnetic flap on one end of the case.

This case has been designed to fit the MacBook Pro 13-inch Retina model snugly. It’s possible that it’ll just slide around horizontally. Although an Incase version for the 13-inch MacBook with touch bar is not available, you can still use the case with this smaller model.

As the magnets align to seal the sleeve, the mouth of the sleeve closes securely with an audible snap. The stitching around the sleeve’s perimeter is of good quality and appears to last a long time without pulling or fraying. The small opening reduces the likelihood of dust or debris entering the sleeve.

This is a great choice if you want a sleeve that is thin enough to fit inside a backpack but also has some sturdy features to protect your MacBook in the event of a drop.

More information and reviews about the Incase Icon Sleeve can be found here.

    Lacdo 360° Protective Laptop Sleeve

    Pros:

    • Water-resistant
    • Two extra pockets
    • Slim and lightweight
    Cons:

    • Limited color options
    • Limited impact resistance
    • So-so zippers

The Lacdo 360° Protective Laptop SleeveUnderneath the neoprene panels, this case has a soft interior lining that protects your laptop from scratches. is a no-frills laptop storage solution that works equally well in a backpack as it does on its own. It features a carry handle and a water-resistant outer layer, making it a convenient option to bring to class or work.

The zippers are functional, but they are a flaw in this already-slim Lacdo case. It has two additional pockets, one with a zipper and the other with a quick-access storage fold. Given that a MacBook Pro weighs around three pounds, expecting any sleeve to perfectly shield its contents is unrealistic, but the Lacdo 360° is still about as good as it gets.

More information and reviews about the Lacdo 360° Protective Laptop Sleeve can be found here.

    Runetz Neoprene Laptop Sleeve

    Pros:

    • Extra front pocket
    • The computer can be accessed quickly thanks to the zip top design.
    • Lots of color options
    Cons:

    • Limited impact resistance
    • No handle
    • Not well padded on the edges

This MacBook sleeve from Runetz The neoprene sleeve has a textured interior to help disperse shock and provides adequate padding on most surfaces. The zipper runs the length of the case, making it simple to get to your laptop. comes in a variety of fashionable colors, all of which are reasonably priced.

A mouse or a charging cable can be stored in the front pocket. With the exception of that possible disaster, this case is the right size to protect either the older MacBook Pro Retina or the newer MacBook Pro with touch bar. The zippered edges aren’t particularly well-padded, which could expose your phone if you drop it in the wrong way. The Runetz cover is one of the best MacBook Pro sleeves you’ll find online, with very little to dislike about it.

    Lention Leather MacBook Sleeve

    Pros:

    • Genuine leather
    • Multiple color options
    • Attractive design
    • Magnetic closure, eliminates concern about “zipper burn”
    Cons:

    • No handle
    • May not appeal to vegans
    • Lacks added storage
    • It’s possible that a thick clamshell case won’t fit (though some thinner cases should).

Do you want a luxurious-looking and feeling MacBook sleeve? These are sleeves from Lention To prevent accidental scratching, the interior is lined with a soft fabric. Two magnets on the top flap secure the sleeve’s closure. They’re available in a variety of colors and are all made of genuine cow leather.

For some, however, this may be preferable because it appears more professional than a case stuffed with extra accessories. The Lention Leather MacBook Sleeve will make your laptop look like it belongs in a Salvatore Ferragamo briefcase if you don’t need any accessory storage. This case can feel a little bare bones without any extra pockets or a carry handle.

  5. 5. Tomtoc 13.5-Inch MacBook Pro Sleeve 360°

    Pros:

    • Shock-absorbent corners
    • Extra zipper pocket
    • Water-resistant
    • Slim and lightweight
    Cons:

    • No handle
    • The MacBook Pro does not have a custom-fitted sleeve.
    • So-so zippers
    • Limited color options

The Tomtoc 360° Macbook Sleeve It also has some nice features on its website. It may appear simple at first glance, but it conceals a wealth of useful protective features. literal Keep in mind that the case isn’t completely waterproof because water can still get through the zippers. There’s even a water-repellent coating on the surface to help you carry your laptop in the rain.

It has a zipper that runs the length of one half of the sleeve but isn’t particularly well made. The case is made of neoprene and has a patterned interior lining that helps to disperse shock in the event of a fall. The case has an additional zipper pocket that is ideal for storing an extra charger.

Although a few more color options would have been nice, the Tomtoc 360° is still a fantastic way to protect your laptop from years of abuse. The extra padded corners on this case are the case’s best feature, as they provide additional shock absorption.

    Case Logic Macbook Neoprene Sleeve

    Pros:

    • Handy extra storage pocket
    • Two-year warranty
    • Low price tag
    Cons:

    • Case is somewhat oversized
    • Limited color options
    • Some report the zipper may scratch your laptop

Case Logic makes affordable laptop and MacBook sleevesIt’s big enough to fit most chargers, but you can also put a phone, a flash drive, or even a wireless mouse inside. Various materials and finishes are available. Because of the front storage pocket, we like this particular sleeve.

With a plush suede interior, you’ve got a simple way to keep your MacBook safe from bumps and dents. A 3mm layer of foam is sandwiched between two 3mm layers of neoprene. There are two types of protection provided by the case.

    ProCase 13.5-Inch Laptop Sleeve

    Pros:

    • Water-resistant
    • Carry handle
    • Extra zipper pocket
    Cons:

    • Limited impact resistance
    • So-so zippers
    • Handle is in an awkward place

The ProCase 13.5-Inch Laptop SleeveAlthough it wasn’t designed specifically for the MacBook Pro Retina, it does a fantastic job of keeping this model safe while being transported from point A to point B. It also works on the newer MacBook Pro models with touch bars.

It has a zipper that goes all the way around the case, but it isn’t very good. On the outside, this case’s neoprene paneling is protected by a water-resistant exterior coating. It has a soft microfiber lining on the inside to protect your laptop from scratches. Your laptop could fall out the bottom if you aren’t careful. Because the case’s carry handle is on the opposite side, make sure the zipper is completely closed.

The zipper on this sleeve, unfortunately, isn’t much better. This case has an additional zipper pocket that is ideal for storing your most important items. This is a great deal for those looking to keep their laptops safe as long as they are careful with the zipper. These flaws in construction are forgiven, however, because this ProCase sleeve is reasonably priced.

    Plemo Leather MacBook Pro Sleeve

    Pros:

    • Water-resistant
    • Stylish design
    • Slim and durable
    Cons:

    • No handle
    • Limited impact resistance
    • No extra pockets

The Plemo Leather MacBook Pro SleeveThis is to be expected given the sleeve’s low price. is a sophisticated-looking accessory that wraps your laptop in a padded and water-resistant layer made of imitation leather when transporting it. The case has a natural leather appearance but is much more plasticy in feel. However, PU leather has the advantage of repelling water, which is useful if you live in a rainy area.

Those suckers are massive. The case closes with a magnetic clasp to keep it closed during transportation. The case is surprisingly rigid, but you won’t have to worry about fitting your MacBook Pro Retina inside because it can also accommodate a bulky second-generation MacBook. It also has a soft suede interior to protect your laptop from scratches and provide some limited impact resistance in the event of a drop.

Plemo Leather MacBook Pro Sleeve information and reviews can be found here.

    Mosiso 13-Inch Laptop Sleeve

    Pros:

    • Lots of color options
    • Extra zipper pocket
    • Water-resistant
    Cons:

    • No handle
    • Limited impact resistance
    • The MacBook Pro does not have a custom-fitted sleeve.

The Mosiso 13-Inch Laptop Sleeve It has a plush, furry interior that protects your laptop from scratches. It’s padded with neoprene and covered in a stain-resistant polyester fabric. is fairly basic in terms of features, but it has a unique color palette that you can match to a hard case if you have one on your device.

Despite its slim size, this case has an additional pocket for storing accessories. Although a snug fit isn’t required for drop protection, I understand that some people prefer it. It doesn’t match the MacBook Pro 13-Inch Retina’s exact dimensions, nor does it match the newer MacBook Pro with touch bar, but both will fit. Personally, I’d prefer this case to have a carry handle or strap. You’ll have to hold it in your arms instead. However, if you truly care about your laptop, you already know that this is the treatment it deserves.

    • Limited color options

Because the case lacks a handle and a built-in bumper frame, it is as basic as it gets. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as protecting your laptop from drops isn’t a difficult task.

Don’t be concerned about the generic case’s loose fit; it provides the same level of protection whether it is perfectly tight or not. This case is compatible with any 13-inch laptop, so you can use it with any 13-inch MacBook (though the air will be far too small).
